Who We Are and What We Do

Founded in 1912 by the Twentieth Century Club, formerly the Ladies’ Reading Circle, the Almond Library provides books, movies, and essential services to the Almond, NY community. We are a member of the Southern Tier Library System (STLS), a network of libraries in Allegany, Steuben, Yates, Schuyler, and Chemung counties in Western New York.

Beyond our collection of books, audiobooks, and films, we offer a variety of services and programs: a weekly preschool story hour, research assistance, computer access and training. As a member of STLS, we also have access to electronic resources, e-books, and downloadable audiobooks, as well as the collections of neighboring libraries. If we don’t have what you need on hand, we’ll find it!

Our lower level is also available for rental for parties, meetings, or other gatherings as needed.
